Licensed Optician

We’re Hiring: Licensed Optician Guardian Eyecare Center | Deerfield Beach, FL Full-Time or Part-Time Pay: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience Guardian Eyecare Center is looking for a friendly, experienced Florida-Licensed Optician to join our growing private optometry practice in Deerfield Beach. We’re looking for someone who loves helping patients see their best and feel confident in their eyewear. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, personable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care and customer service. We value a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and well cared for from their eye exam through their eyewear selection and pickup. Responsibilities     •    Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best fit their prescription, lifestyle, preferences, and budget     •    Educate patients on lens materials, designs, coatings, and other optical options     •    Take accurate optical measurements and ensure proper eyewear fit     •    Dispense, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair eyeglasses     •    Process eyewear orders and communicate with optical laboratories to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery     •    Verify completed eyewear before dispensing     •    Assist with contact lens insertion and removal training when needed     •    Help patients understand vision insurance benefits and eyewear coverage     •    Process optical sales and payments using the practice's POS system     •    Maintain accurate patient and order information within the practice management/EHR system     •    Maintain frame inventory and help keep the optical area organized, attractive, and well stocked     •    Work closely with our optometrist and team to create a seamless experience from the exam room to the optical     •    Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain patient confidentiality Qualifications     •    Active Florida Optician License required     •    Previous experience in an optometry practice, optical store, or similar setting preferred     •    Strong knowledge of frame fitting, lens options, optical measurements, dispensing, adjustments, and repairs     •    Excellent communication and customer service skills     •    Comfortable discussing eyewear recommendations and helping patients make informed purchasing decisions     •    Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail     •    Positive, professional, and collaborative attitude     •    Experience with optical laboratory equipment and basic in-office lens work is a plus     •    Experience with Eyefinity or similar EHR/practice management systems is a plus     •    Experience working with vision insurance plans is a plus Why Join Guardian Eyecare Center?
