Optometrist Part-Time / Fill-In – Private Practice Los Angeles

Sunshine Optometry is a modern private practice optometry office in Santa Clarita seeking a friendly, reliable optometrist for part-time, fill-in, or possible full-time coverage. We are a patient-focused private practice with a brand new office, updated equipment, and an amazing supportive team. Our practice provides comprehensive eye care, medical optometry, advanced dry eye treatment, IPL, specialty contact lens services, scleral lenses, and full-scope optical care. This is a strong opportunity for an optometrist who wants to work in a private practice setting with modern technology, a great team, and patients who value quality care. We are looking for someone who is clinically thoughtful, personable, dependable, and interested in providing a high level of care without the feel of a corporate clinic. Responsibilities include: • Performing comprehensive eye exams • Prescribing glasses and contact lenses • Fitting and evaluating contact lenses, including specialty and scleral lenses when appropriate • Diagnosing and managing common ocular conditions • Providing dry eye evaluations and treatment recommendations • Participating in advanced dry eye care, including IPL, depending on experience and training • Educating patients clearly and professionally • Maintaining accurate exam documentation in the EHR • Working collaboratively with our optical, technician, and administrative team Ideal candidate: • California licensed optometrist, or new graduate eligible for licensure • Friendly, professional, and patient-focused • Reliable, punctual, and easy to work with • Comfortable with routine vision care, contact lenses, and medical optometry • Interested in dry eye, specialty contact lenses, scleral lenses, or full-scope private practice care • Able to communicate well with patients and staff • Experience with VSP and electronic health records is helpful, but not required New graduates are welcome to apply. Schedule: • Part-time and fill-in days available • Potential for a consistent weekly schedule • Full-time may be available for the right candidate Compensation: Competitive daily or hourly rate based on experience, schedule, and availability.
